FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CHANGE TO LITTLE ATHLETICS RULE 143 (FOOTWEAR) TRACKSKINS APPROVED FOR USE IN COMPETITION
Shoeskins is delighted to announce we have been advised by Coles Little Athletics Australia (LAA) that a change to Rule 143.7 Footwear has been reviewed by the Rules Committee, and subsequently voted on and approved at the LAA October Annual General Meeting:
Old Rule 143.7: Spike shoes must only be worn during an event and are not to be worn to and from an event.
New Rule 143.7: Spike shoes cannot be worn outside the defined "Field of Play" unless all spikes are suitably covered.
With the new rule in place, Shoeskins have received confirmation that Trackskins meet the 'suitable covering' requirement. Athletes will be able to wear Trackskins to cover their spikes during LAA competition and training without the need to remove their spikes when travelling to and from their event. Please refer to your LAA State body for State event specific details.
Specifically designed for forefoot Track and Field Spike of up to 9mm, Trackskins are part of the Cleatskin range of revolutionary footwear accessories designed to allow athletes to move swiftly to and from their sport without changing shoes, damaging spikes and studs as well as reducing the risk of slip and pierce injuries.
Designed for athletes of any age, the innovative SKINTEK rubber skin with a Kevlar insert, Trackskins easily slip over spikes, help avoid heel-walking and pierce injuries.
